CAMBRIDGE 2
Part of my new Abstract City set of prints.
This print was inspired by a trip to Cambridge. In part of the city in the pavements small bronze flowers are embeded into the paving to create a trail. There are 600 bronze flowers embedded in the pavement, as it leads up Bridge Street towards the River Cam. The mini sculptures are created by artist Michael Fairfax.
A hand printed, handmmade, original, limited edition linocut print. The original sketch is drawn by me onto the lino and then I spend time removing the lino that I want to stay white. Gold tissue paper discs were applied to the paper before printing then the lino is then inked using a roller, turned and positioned on the sheet before using my press to make sure I get a good print. Beacuse of the nature of the process each print is different, that is what makes them so special and unique. Each print is then named and numbered, embossed as a mark of authenticity and then hand signed in pencil by me.
This print is a small batch edition of 5. Each print is different with the flowers in different positions so each print is bespoke and the one you purchase may not be the one shown in the images.
PRODUCT INFO
The size of the print is A4 portrait 210 x 297mm and is printed on G.F Smith Colourplan Pristine White 270gsm. Each print is hand numbered, signed and embossed to show it is an original print.
